Tough road
BEA is in a world of hurt.
Even though they have released a product
that has been acclaimed by press and customers alike, they are still looking at
a tough path ahead. They have numerous strong competitors on the Java side and
Microsoft also vying for the same space. I can't imagine it is easy to
sell WebLogic to a big SAP customer and Oracle has ads all over the place
saying "Free Oracle 9iAS for BEA Users". Ugh.
