Hip enough for ya?

Our local paper, The Roanoke Times, recently published an article about the problem attracting educated professionals that is facing many smaller communities across the nation. I've written a little bit about this before. It's a tough problem and I don't see that there are any easy ways to solve it. Just like people, some places are cool and some aren't. It would be shame to see a lot of these places flushing their money down the toilet in a futile Red Queen game to attract people who aren't interested.
