Oracle
I've been doing a lot of work with Oracle 9 over the past week. I'm now convinced that this product is aptly named: you need to consult with an Oracle to get the database tuned up properly. I hear it is better in Oracle 10, but getting things optimized in 9 takes a lot of knob-twiddling.
