Just Dell It

The NYT has an article on Dell this week. It isn't really that remarkable - Dell has been covered a kajillion times by every business rag out there and this piece is not much different. What strikes me everytime I read a piece like this is how far off base the CEOs of Sun and HP sound when they attack Dell for not being innovative. Sure, Dell produces pretty unremarkable products but they are incredibly innovative when it comes to driving costs down and that is the way innovations are spread across a large population.
